Market Testing -- Don't Get Caught Without It!
Great Product, but no takers, HUH? It’s all too easily done...
You've spent days, weeks or even months preparing your world class product! What you've created is going to be the very last word in your niche market. Because no one has ever produced anything that has even come close to covering your subject in such depth, your results will be phenomenal by bringing this product to life with colorfully written prose and providing the reader with useful and inspiring information.
To put it simply: You’ve just created a MASTERPIECE!
In fact, with the effort you’ve put into this product, it surely just can’t fail.
Or can it?
Unfortunately, the answer is that it most definitely can.
The reality is that most of the people who would consider buying your product really won’t have a clue (up front) as to whether the information inside is a full-scale "quality" offering or not.
Obviously you will want to take pride in your work, but you want your work to be read (or more accurately, purchased) in the first place.
The sad truth is that you could easily wind up spending 200 – 300 hours on creating a product that quite simply *rocks*. But there might be one small problem...
Virtually no one ever buys it...so the world will never find out just how great your product is!
A Mistake that even the "Experts" make!
Surprisingly, even experienced Internet marketers make this mistake from time to time. In fact, my experience suggests that the so-called “experienced” may be most frequently to blame for failing to properly discover upfront whether there’s actually a market for their product before fully developing it. That’s because they begin to wrongly believe that they can second guess the marketplace. But the reality is different.
So, how do you assess the market for your product before you’ve even properly created it?
The answer is: "Market Research".
Market Research is absolutely essential -- not a nice, added extra
The secret is to carry out the market research upfront and not retrospectively. That sounds easy, but when you think about doing this, there’s a fundamental problem. How can you accurately market research your product when you haven’t even created it yet?
There are two methods to follow, and you *MUST* be employing them both in order to guarantee that you are busily creating a product that someone (a lot of people) will want to buy when you're finished!
